Unless the evidence is clear that she did do it. Then people will think twice before doing this bullshite

Or we can let anyone who wants to cry wolf chip away at our universities public image.

I'm getting fricking tired of the double standard, she may not have done it, but if she did charge her arse with a hate crime.
Conspiracy to incite racial tensions, intentional defamation of the Caucasian student body of LSU and population of Baton Rouge

There is no end game for the Police department and LSU president to out her as a fraud. It does less damage to let it go away,

I disagree. If this gets legs and becomes a bigger story then it paints the university in a bad light, even if it doesn't it encourages more fake accusations.

The best thing that LSU can do here is expose her for the lie. I don't want the place that's on my degree to become the joke that Missouri became.

You think her story is true just because she said it is?

True. Could be a black chick, which is what we are thinking it likely is.

there isn't enough evidence for them to even consider "victim shaming."

Sure there is, if she did this then she definitely told people, and the kind of people who would support a false flag like this are almost always cowards. Interview them and get one to confess, these are rich kids who think that they're more noble than they are. It wouldn't be difficult.

Punishment:

When the culprit is identified, what should the punishment be, I think it should be the same regardless, maybe expulsion from LSU? Criminal charges?

Can both sides agree on the punishment before we find out who the culprit is?

I don't undestand how LSU is even involved in this. The incident did not happen on campus.

If this happened in a dorm, I could understand LSU being involved.

Because according to some of your esteemed peers like Miss Perkins "black people can't be racist".

I mean, her entire fabricated story hinges on some horrible white racist doing it, since she constantly blames "white people" (who are all the same, as everyone knows) for every problem, real or imagined, that comes along.

Of course, she knows there's no actual danger to her, since she wrote it. Can't catch something you made up out of whole cloth.

Punishment should be expulsion and apology on TV for said event.

But we've already watched this girl make racist claims, was proven 100% false, and then blamed whitey for her stupidity. All forgotten, she got no warning, no one told her to cool it. She went back to writing BS for the paper.
