forced us to face heart-wrenching questions of institutional racism,

When was the last time LSU was accussed of institutional racism? I find it comical the University did everything in their power to cover up a Title 9 sexual scandal, but immediately run to kiss black arse.

Yall know that Tom Galligan has pulled his name out of consideration for the permanent position of LSU President, huh?

Yall also know that it's been reported that SJW Scotty has his eye on the job.

It would be a perfect fit for Woke LSU at present.

OK Scott, hire Kim and Tim, then GTFO of the Athletic Department. You haven't done jack shite since stepping back on to the campus.

Maybe now, it's time to get Dan Radakovich or Herb Vincent back in here if Libby Scotty gets the LSU #1 job.

I came in here just to read the melt because I knew something would be posted.

This type of stuff makes some of you sooo angry doesn't it? It really has ruined your day today. That hatred in some of your hearts will eventually come out and expose who you are. You can't hide behind a username forever.

Amen to this. These posters seem to be upset that LSU would take a stand on this. I’m upset because my university is associated with such hard hearts.

Why even put a statement out? It really wasn’t necessary.

Why is LSU commenting on a trial in Minnesota, shouldn't they be dealing with the multitude of issues with the Title IX department and sexual assault cases.

Reverse discrimination. You hire the best person for the job. The racist are on the left. Biden said he was going to have a black woman as vice president, so, Kamala is vice president because of her skin color.
The rest of the world is laughing, China and Russia are thrilled, watch whats to come. You idiots on the left will then have no one to blame but you will blame someone cuz that's how you roll.

we're all so sick and tired of being called racists. The vast, vast majority of Americans, of all stripes, get along with each other wonderfully.

The leftists have hijacked the narrative to paint America as horribly racist, misrepresenting a few isolated incidents in different states (all involving a person resisting arrest). All Americans wants bad cops prosecuted and punished, and I'm fine with the verdicts today. But it's one bad cop in a country of 330 million, and is zero proof of "institutional racism", which existed 60 years ago, but not today.

That's the reason we despise statements like LSU's president made.

And this moron thinks LSU needed to make a statement for what exactly. Maybe he will make a statement for all the black on black crime and murders which BLM, Democrats, and SJW types don’t give a damn about. What hypocrites

I honestly don't even know what "white supremacists" means anymore.

Please define what it means to you, and be specific.

Lately it seems like the answer is anyone that disagrees with a black person.

Every student should have a right to have their voices heard. This should be common in any institution of higher learning.

LSU competes for gifted students and student athletes from all backgrounds. The university should represent each student as if they were the only student.

I am proud of LSU trying to better the environment for future leaders. Each student should feel safe and be welcomed no matter their background. Diversity works well when we open our hearts to fairness for all people.

Why issue a statement? This case has zero to do with LSU. You know, if white people "really" want to feel guilty, let's give this country back to the American Indians. We can all move back to where our ancestors came from and buffalo can roam freely again.

I would venture guess that was written even before the trial started because Unc Tom knew, as the rest of the world did that the jury WOULD NOT bring an innocent verdict.
