LSU has no idea how to help students

So I have a class today scheduled for 9-1030. I went on the first day, but no teacher nor any of my classmates were in the class. I assumed the professor emailed us about canceling class and I must have missed it. As I arrived today, yet again, no students nor the professor were in the class room. I figured something was going on since nobody was there both days, I have yet to receive an email from the teacher, and he hasn't posted his class on Moodle yet. Frustrated, I email my advisor about my situation. I get an email back saying that this class was mistakenly put on the registration, was not actually offered, and that there was no faculty member assigned to this class. I am a senior about to graduate, and need one more of those classes to graduate. Now, they stripped me of a class and I am labeled a part time student. You would think that an organization like LSU would be able to reach out to me beforehand about the class not being offered, but here I am, trying to figure out what the hell is going on with a serious lack of help from the university. un-fricking-believable

Congrats on misreading your schedule.

You need to go camp out in their office until it's resolved.

Brings a bit of clarity about how LSU managed to hire CEO.

Let me fill you in on something you probably should've learned as a freshman - they do not give a frick about you. You are a number in the form of tuition dollars.

Waiting until your last semester to take a class you need

Isn't it odd that you were the only student to sign up for it? It almost like the class wasn't needed in the first place.

How does all this happen and you just assume no class on the first day like that's normal

And just add another class, genius. Was this hard to figure out?

LSU is shite. I went back after I had dropped out for a couple years. i had a low GPA and they let me in for a summer probation semester and said that if I got a 3.2 gpa over 9 hours i was eligible for readmission in to the university the following fall. I got a 3.66 GPA and they denied my application. When I went see the admissions people i was told eligible doesn't mean you would be accepted. They knew my GPA beforehand and could have looked and said even if he gets a 4.0 we ain't letting this dude in. Nope, they let me pay 4k for a summer semester. The bad part was I couldn't get in to any 4 year universities because to transfer a lot of them have a stipulation that you can be accepted in to the last one you attended. I had to go to brcc for a while.

I feel for your future employer. Snowflakes have to be spoon fed everything.

Go to F King Alexander's office with a $100 bill. It seems he would do anything for a little money

I did not misread my schedule. The class was on my schedule. I have an email from the advisor saying that the class was mistakenly put on the list of available courses, so I had no idea that it wasn't actually offered.

This sounds like one of those dreams I have 12 years after graduating college

It’s their fault you didn’t know the meaning of these 2 words?
I had D1 eligibility all through college

And no one noticed? No one said anything after the first day? No email sayings "whoops?" Calling BS on that unless you happened to be the only person registered for this class. Regardless, add another class. How hard is that?
