Having gone through initiation at Acacia and been part of putting pledges through initiation the quote in the OP is total BS, unless they have changed initiation greatly since I went through.

If they in fact had to do those things, that would be harsher than anything I've really ever heard of. Not that eating dog food or smoking a pack cigs would kill you. It always seemed like you were going to have to do something crazy like that, then you didn't. Or it turned out to not be dog food. Hell the cigs would have been a pack per person in my pledge class, and they'd never let you waste those cigs. You'd have to keep a pack on you in case an active needed one.

You may piss some people off, and it surely isn't going to make hell week pleasant, but for reasons such as this info getting leaked, you really don't have to do shite during hell week. They don't want to ball someone who knows all their shite, so you can basically say nah, I'm not doing that, and they'd get all pissy, but probably never ball you. You never think that way as a pledge though

The university hierarchy has suspended Acacia, based on reports from a young man about things that allegedly happened. I have a few questions that maybe some of you can answer.

1. Does the university have a clear, written policy on hazing? (I did Google but the link on LSU's webpage has been broken for at least three days.)If so, what is the policy?

2. Were the members of Acacia aware of what the policy is?

3. If there is a clearly defined policy, was it followed?

4. Is the national office of Acacia claiming all policies were followed or are they distancing themselves to minimize possible civil damages?
