I still wonder why we don't have caning. That would be a perfect punishment for something like this.

It's basically an extra half day to one day of work for them. Its not like its just some random field on campus that they could pass a dozer over to smooth out the ruts. It's Tiger stadium and the grade has to be absolutely perfect

It ain't just bringing their equipment back out to regrade a neighborhood backyard. I don't know how big of an area he rutted up, but the field area is roughly 400' x 200'. That's almost 2 acres that has to be precision graded. $8000 isn't some unbelievably high number in this situation.

I doubt the guy guts much of a punishment for this. A fine and probation? I’d say it was worth it. He got to go mud riding in Tiger Stadium.
