I used to agree but my GF definitely didn't get that but that's probably because she absolutely sucks at math. She picked a major that didn't involve math and nearly graduated with 4.0.

Oh for the good old 1980's.
All you needed to go to LSU was just a completion of the ACT and no GPA requirement.

A few years ago I was eating lunch with a friend that is a vice president with General Electric, he is in NY. I mentioned that due to the favorable cost I tried to get my kids to go to LSU, he asked where is that?

My sister had a 3.85 coming from a prestigious New Orleans school, but could only manage a 24 on the ACT. She is about to start her fourth year and finishing up a dbl major with one minor, and has a 3.9 GPA.
I, on the other hand, had something like a 2.3 in high school, but scored a 32 on the ACT. Flunked out twice (but eventually ended up with two degrees)
