Mine was too. I wasn’t too worried about it because I wasn’t expecting a win and it was in Alabama. This was 2017. I have found the bigger problem to be is your anniversary will fall on that weekend next year so you might get some bitching from him.

I got married on the same day LSU played Alabama. It 'll be 28 years, still married, LSU still losing.

How could anyone let this happen? You don’t schedule weddings on Saturday in the Fall in the south. Especially THAT game. Hope you invite 700 people so at least 50 show.

Dont listen to these assholes. Get married when you want. If LSU was in the playoff last year or ever, it would be different. Expect a smaller crowd. My wife and i got married on lsu bama last year. We are both alumni as well. We had a blast at our wedding and so did everybody else who attended. The ones who love yall will go. You will be okAy.

Everyone will be listening to the game on earbuds if it’s during the ceremony. If it’s during the reception everyone will be watching it on their phones rather than dancing, so don’t pay for a band.

I’ve been to 2 weddings where this happened during the receptions. The bride was furious at one, and the mother of the groom was furious at the other one. It’s just not a good way to celebrate a marriage. The guests feel guilty. The wives of some of the men watching football get upset and are embarrassed but deep down they know the bride was “asking for it” by picking that date. It’s just awkward for everyone.

I know right now you are thinking that your best friends and family would definitely put you first on your wedding night. They’ll watch it on DVR. Wrong. I was shocked by how many of the guests were huddled around phones the entire receptions. It was really uncomfortable. The girlfriends/dates of the guys watching the game wanted to be with their dates, so many of the girls huddled around too. I was one of those girls at one of THOSE weddings. I didn’t know anyone. Since i only knew my date and a couple of people there, it was hard to be a “good guest” for the new wedded couple.

Even though LSU has been losing to Alabama, you KNOW every LSU fan will watch this game. LSU fans will not suddenly be more interested in your wedding than the Bama game just because we have been losing to them. & Considering Bama’s loss in the championship, LSU fans will go into the LSU Bama game more hopeful than usual especially if we are undefeated or only lost one at that point. You need to REALLY get into the head of an LSU fan and think this through. You have not thought this through.

Change the date. Thank me later.

Get married the day b4. You don’t have to get married on a Saturday. I know it can be done.

I know 2 couples who had to get married in July because they were in med school and were LSU fans. July was hot, not a bride’s ideal month, but we all had a GREAT time.

LSU-Bama Game is on my Wedding date..

No you scheduled you wedding on the LSU BAMA game.

Expect many no shows if your fiends & families are LSU fans.
There's little reason to do this except to piss people off.

Most likely prime time.

All depends on the records entering the week before. Chances are both will be undefeated or 1 loss. So 7 or 8pm

Doesn't matter if it's day or night the wedding shouldn't be on that date unless you totally don't care.

Open date weddings are great. That's why they have open dates.

The more important question is will there be an open bar or cash bar?

My friend's wedding is on the same day. It was bad enough when he told us his wedding was during the LSU-Bama game, then they announced duck hunting season starts that day too. Can confirm....... cuck.

Wife wanted an October wedding. I said nothing during football season because not only is it the wedding on that game. That weekend in September/October will be tied to anniversary's for the REST OF YOUR LIFE! (Barring divorce which is probably what is going to happen) Many other big games in the future will happen that weekend.

I think ahead.

Ended up getting married May 5th. So it's already a party and the most important sports is like the beginning round of NBA and NHL playoffs. Nothing too big to miss.

First of all its proof of two things:
1- Your wife sucks.
2- You have no balls.
