I figured you would have given that a whole new thread. That's quality "I'm never going back to New Orleans" bait.

We should be able to relax in our cars without fear of getting jacked.

Yes, we should.

That is correct.

But the conclusion is NOT to be oblivious to your surroundings. Just sitting there pretending like everything's fine is not a viable option if you're concerned for your safety.

I think the large number of life altering events in Orleans Parish today would have buried the subject matter

So, you think just sitting in an unlocked car staring down at your phone in New Orleans is a good idea these days?

And you thought the other poster had a bad idea?

The council isn't letting the Wisner Trust issue die.

I don't really jive with a lot of those extremist fricks, but they seem to be doing right here. I think Moreno (and others) doesn't have fear of Latoya any longer.

The first time in 4 years they have even touched the Wisner Trust mess. Its a shame what Mitch got away.

Helena/Morrell are going to battle it out for Mayor in 2024 so the political posturing started now that Teedy is a lame duck.

Watching them today I got that same feeling.

I hope their plan is to one up each other roasting Teedy. You know they have the info.

As I’ve said before, these New Orleans institutions could stop this.

How?

By working to hold politicians and law enforcement accountable. These institutions have money, power, lots of employees and supporters. The have political strength. I would bet all of them public support the current New Orleans political structure.

I'm surely not going to post a photo of a carjacking victim.

I'm surprised she even allowed them to release her name, quite honestly

LOL. They published her license plate number.

Just NOLA being NOLA. I'll never set foot there again. I hope the voters enjoy what they allowed.

No way in hell the DA would ever try those cases.

Fwiw, after Katrina there was a TV show filmed in NOLA and Slidell called Bait Car.

They were pretty shocked about it happening right there since there's quite a bit of business/activity on that block.
This is laughably naive on their part. How can anyone be shocked by any crime occurring in any part of that city? Wait, I'll correct myself, that's not "naive", that's fricking stupid. Holy shite.
