Just wondering. I'm 30. Hopefully this won't affect us anytime in the near future. That would suck.

I was diagnosed at 31, and I didn't notice any until somewhere around 30. Changing your lifestyle by eating healthier and exercising more can really help.

I have yet to take anything or get formal treatment due to the uncertainties with the potential long term effects (cancer), and the regular prostate exams did not sound appealing to me.

9 out of 9 people I know personally that have gone to get tested came back as low T and were put on a regimen.

Seems a bit suspicious.

My wife works at a clinic that can deal with this and she said the doctors almost always give you the suggestion to try exercise, healthier diet, and more sleep then come back in a few months.

We live an incredibly sedentary lifestyle compared to our evolutionary ancestors...even compared to humans 75 years ago. That and the poor diets of people have led to a lot of peoples' bodies producing less testosterone than they really need.

My buddy that I mentioned said he has the sex drive of his 15 year old self now

At 15, I was a damn hornball

Im female but will jump in here. Mine is less than 2.5 and should be greater than 8. I'll just say this explains a lot in the way of anxiety, poor sleep, and other things. I thought I was getting old and lazy. I'm 46 so not really "old" and not normally lazy either.

Seeing my obgyn in a week; this was picked up in a ton of wellness/prevention bloodwork.

I'm pretty consistent with my diet and working out. So hopefully this is way down the road for me. Of course I have no kids yet.

One thing I've been working more on is getting into a routine with my sleep. I was consistently getting around 5 hours a night. Which made me a zombie at work. Amazing what another couple hours does for you.

FYI: My insurance would not pay for this test. I ended up paying 180 out of pocket.

every morning, i hear sports radio advertisements about Low T and how it's real and could affect your every day life from sexual activities to workouts and such.

My brother had it at 26. The quality of life difference was huge when he got on it.

I've heard this before, its not just you.

In healthcare, insurance lags way behind science.

Have a close friend who has low T. 28 year old guy, healthy in all other ways.

He said he was so tired all the time, had lost his sex drive, and had slight depression.

Turns out he had extremely low T. He is a new person after getting meds. His wife says its like she's cheating on her husband with another man

Makes me want to get tested

It will give you the sex drive of a horny teenager.

so you're saying a testosterone clinic that makes their money selling you hormones might be slightly biased when they test to see if you have low hormones levels?

it's a temporary fix anyway. when the shots wear off, you'll go back to being a sexless sloth. you have to make a lifestyle change like regularly exercising and eating better if you don't want to keep paying for shots. then at some point, you're just old, and you need to accept it and age gracefully.

My testosterone is so high that it's off the charts. My boxer briefs grow a beard if I wear them for too long.

Also, people are apparently abusing this for the outside chance it slows their male pattern baldness

My job sends me articles about stuff like that and that one was a huge hit in the office. I think all the men googled the closest T-Clinic

Limitless is a very underrated movie. That would be so awesome.

The show looks terrible though.

I have to rub on Testim gel every morning. My biggest issue was extreme fatigue. And....let me forget to put that gel on even one day and I'm dragging by afternoon. I will be taking this the rest of my life. Thank God for modern medicine.

yup levels them out, very low T. Only know how one gets it and it is a 3 month pellet in the bum. They say nothing beats the initial first time though, after that it just gets them to a nice place. I did not go into the sex drive part, but it was issues with no energy and motivation.
