A lot of people don't get that he's playing up the cockiness to play a character. He seems like a good dude once all the acting is done. He donated a ton of money when Ben Askren needed a lung transplant, he's pushed Dana to pay his fighters better, and he runs a philanthropy that combats bullying and teaches kids boxing. I don't understand all the hate for the dude

All boxing is just a work outside the ring. Their entire purpose is to juice their fight and their brand, which leads to major paydays.
The fact a Jake Paul fight had a purse of a $180MM tells you how absurdly good he has been at.the branding and melodrama.

I don't get calling Paul a pussy. You don't sign up to have a respected heavyweight pummel your face if you're soft. He's not a boxing icon by any stretch but he clearly doesn't have an aversion to contact.

This is how the fight should be remembered. The people giving him respect for getting in there with an elite HW obviously didn't watch the fight. He only engaged once his gas tank was empty from running. And we'd all take that final punch for 100 million. If he wants respect, get in an actual weight class and work your way up through the rankings.
