But keep believing everything you hear. Typical OT bullshite. Believe things with no first hand knowledge.
Hey Guys stop ganging up on 225! Remember, his pits are the exception to the rule. He knows better than peer reviewed studies.

Objective—To summarize breeds of dogs involved in fatal human attacks during a 20-year period and to assess policy implications.
Results—During 1997 and 1998, at least 27 people died of dog bite attacks (18 in 1997 and 9 in 1998). At least 25 breeds of dogs have been involved in 238 human DBRF during the past 20 years. Pit bull-type dogs and Rottweilers were involved in more than half of these deaths.
Remember, the only thing that matters with knowing whether your wild animal is safe is if he looks cute in pictures and is cuddly with kids and other pets, like this one.

Neighborhood Stunned After Pit Bulls Kill 7-Year-Old in Lowell, Massachusetts
One neighbor says the dogs were never vicious to him.
"I think they are very, very mellow dogs. Very nice dogs," said Roger Rodriguez. "I used to play with them. Even the cat in the house used to play with the dogs."
See fellas...that sweet dog played with the cat and was mellow. So he'd never dare hurt a child. See how reliable "first hand knowledge" can be?

Are you senile? Once again, for the umteenth time, nobody is claiming this. This is something you made up to rustle your own jimmies for some reason.
Honda made a bunch of cars with shitty airbags that kill people sometimes when a crash occurs. Does that mean that all Hondas kill people? NO. It means that buying a Honda may be a risky decision if you value safety. Why do you have such a hard time understanding common sense logic?

I think I’ve gone out of my way to say most pit bulls will never attack a human.
But that doesn’t help the hundreds of victems that will be attacked by one this year.

I think it says other breeds may account fot more bites. But since they are superficial in nature, they go unreported.
I think most people are less concerned with "nips" or "superficial" bites, so this is kind of a nonstarter.

There are a shite ton more labs than pits. It stands to reason there may be more lab bites. They just aren’t as severe.
That's why you have to look at it from a prevalence standpoint. Pit bulls are about 6% of the dog population, but represent a vast majority of the major injuries or deaths.

Hell yea this thread is still going on .
They offer unparalleled loyalty. No dog's loyalty comes anywhere near it.
They have one of the most insane prey drives of any animal. Some of them are true catch dogs who will see a rabbit, squirrel, hog, armadillo, whatever, and they are on that thing like nothing you have ever seen. It is incredible to watch.
They are beautiful.
They are incredibly smart.
They are possibly the most trainable dog in existence.
Their noses are fricking incredible.
They are sweet as shite and will run through a brick wall to defend you.
They will give you cuddles and awkward, very aggressive full body humps.
They are a living security system who will ruin a robber for you.

I am going to share this story with you. This is just one instance and no one was seriously injured, but several years ago my cousin had a pitbull and when he moved, wherever he was moving didn't allow him to have the dog so he brought the dog to his mom's.
The dog stayed outside chained up for most of the day. My mom was telling me this because she had gone to her house for something (I don't really keep in contact with this particular part of my family) and saw the dog. She told my aunt "it is not a good idea to have that type of dog out there especially when your grandkids are over and outside playing". My aunt says "she is a good dog. She lets the kids play with her and she is just a big baby".
One day my uncle was there (her brother. He does AC work and was doing some work on her house), he walked past the dog and it went at him. He went tell my aunt (his sister) that that dog is going to hurt someone and told her what it did. He said if that dog wasn't chained up it would have done some damage. She told him "you must have frightened him or something because he is a big teddy bear.
A few weeks later, her daughter's fiance at the time, dad was over there and he had gone outside and was going to go pet the dog. A few minutes later they were on their way to take him to the emergency room. That big teddy bear attacked him and grabbed ahold to his leg. The only reason he was able to get away was because the dog was chained up and he was as far he could possibly be from where he was chained up and evidently it had to let go of his leg because it was a matter of being choked. I wasn't there. But after that they got rid of the dog. I think the guy ended up having to get 15-16 stitches, but yeah... The dog was just a "big baby".

Stop chaining your damn dogs! It's well known that it contributes to aggressive and territorial behavior, and honestly chaining as a primary means of control should be banned (along with pit bulls...)

So basically nothing that you can't get from other breeds.
Proceed with Breed discontinuation.

this is literally the reason he would bite someone. That's his territory when you chain him up. People are so stupid. Those people shouldn't have a dog.
