Louisiana's Chief Technology Officer's Home is on Fire
LINK

quote:

BATON ROUGE - Crews are responding to a large house fire on the outskirts of the Garden District Monday afternoon.

Tax records show the home is owned by Richard Howze. Richard Howze also runs the Louisiana information technology system, which was the focus of a ransom ware attack earlier Monday.

The fire was first reported around 4 p.m. on Terrace Avenue near S Eugene Street. Video from the scene shows smoke billowing from the roof of the home.

Firefighters said the fire was under control by about 5 p.m. They spent an hour getting it contained.

Baws probably appreciated a chance to fight a fire instead of revive OD's.

None of y'all find this the slightest bit suspicious?

Statewide election on Saturday, all State information systems down for most/all of today and now this?

It's silly to say one doesn't believe in coincidences - coincidences happen all the time. So, it's not about belief - I just don't trust them.

These are some doozies.

Agreed. Having a coincidental house fire the same day your professional life goes in the shitter? Unlikely.

“Best” case is that he has “smart appliances” that somehow got compromised through the hack, however unlikely.

But this looks sketchy as hell.

Trying to play devil’s advocate.

Easy answer is “torched to cover up evidence”. Trying to find anything else that fits rather than run straight forward with that conclusion.

Who wants to bet they knew they got hacked in May and pulled the ol, lets fix this before anyone finds out card or worse, they ol "lets let this play out" card. And now that shite is really hitting the fan everyone is playing CYA.

Really need insiders on this one to get after it and share with the group.
