Louisiana's Chief Technology Officer's Home is on Fire

Tax records show the home is owned by Richard Howze. Richard Howze also runs the Louisiana information technology system, which was the focus of a ransom ware attack earlier Monday.
The fire was first reported around 4 p.m. on Terrace Avenue near S Eugene Street. Video from the scene shows smoke billowing from the roof of the home.
Firefighters said the fire was under control by about 5 p.m. They spent an hour getting it contained.
