Why do you hang out on the boards all day? I’m just curious. You don’t really bother me personally, I have learned to just scroll past the post when I see your username. But it obvious you’re almost universally disliked here and wouldn’t really be missed if you went into hibernation.

Yes

He obviously thinks otherwise because he couldn’t even make it a few hours into his one month ban bet.

It depends on what else she contributed to the household, eg, childcare, housekeeping. If she just worked out, shopped and bullshite all day it’d be a significant problem.

Marry someone who contributes fairly equally and it’s not a problem.

Of course you would. I don't see why you'd even consider the alternative.
A man is nothing without his honor.

So since your wife makes more than you are you saying you’d take less than half in your divorce?

You people don’t know dick about matrimonial regime laws in Louisiana. Just sayin. If you have serious questions, go see a professional before you frick up your situation.

I’m not in a community property state. A divorce here is subject to equitable distribution.

You skated the question I asked.
If you got divorced tomorrow, since your wife makes more money than you, do you feel like you are entitled to less than she is?
Do you feel like you make up for that deficit in other ways that aren’t finically based?

i'm an attorney
no attorney calls it "matrimonial regime law"
are you a professor, a law student, a paralegal, or a paralegal student?

I love you, excepting your refusal to engage in proper capitalization.

Just called out a lawyer and told him he doesn't know dick about the law. I'm entertained.

what's funny is when i make a "serious" thread and i start out consciously capitalizing properly and by paragraph 4 of OP, it's back to this

for the record, what i said (and what he replied to) is not controversial. CP regimes mean assets and debts
i"m not a hardcore divorce litigator but when clients have the option of filing a 102 or waiting to file a 103, they usually want to save the $175 it costs for the hearing and wait to do a 103. i always have to ask them what kind of risk their spouse is, b/c they can go rack up debts while they wait the 6-12 months
