This is legit and wouldn't be surprised to see SPC go MOD risk for portions of S. Louisiana and Mississippi.

I can put up with the severe weather. We rarely get tornados in this state that actually kill people. We get hurricanes but I'll take a hurricane over a tornado. At least you can prepare for a hurricane. The state that I wouldn't want to live in is Oklahoma. That state gets numerous tornados and you actually have people who chase the tornado. I was looking at scenes of tornados coming on you tube. No amount of money would entice me to be a tornado chaser.

Texas gets worse tornadoes than Oklahoma

If given the choice between OK and AL (where I live) with no family or business attached, and with severe weather being the main concern, I would likely choose OK. It is just so wide open with widely spread population centers. For the number of tornadoes they see (on average, though the past couple seasons have been way down) the number that actually occur in populated areas is low.

Alabama, on the other hand, is another story. Tornadoes in the Southeast are an entirely different animal. Hilly and tree-covered terrain, tornadoes that are often rain-wrapped, more densely populated areas, chasing is incredibly difficult and very dangerous.

With nothing more than tornadoes being considered, I'd pick Oklahoma.

I just moved back home after living in Alabama for ten years. I lived in Montgomery and about four years ago a tornado touched down in Montgomery. The tornado hit a mobile home park that was off of Atlanta highway. It damaged some mobile homes but thank goodness there wasn't any major damage. The name of the mobile home park is Sunshine Village.

So, any updates? Are we going to survive until 2021, or is a tornado gonna kill me at 11 pm on the 31st?

2020 will not go out quietly.
She's gonna give South Louisiana one more hoorah! 78 hurricanes weren't enough I guess.

I think that's the second Enhanced of the winter season. Last week had one for the Carolinas.

What is the time frame for the severe weather in southeast La? I’m hoping we can still shoot some fireworks and build a fire later in the night
