Are they still operating without the permit? I don't know much about that sorta thing, and I have zero issue with the owner taking this stance, but I have to imagine that probably won't end well for that restaurant.

The Permit was taken illegally. He has every right to stay open until they make him stop in court.

What a piece of shite. The good thing is that he’ll accrue so many fines he will be forced to close forever.
This may just do you in:
Since bars are to go only they are having parking lot parties where regulars bring tables & chairs & set up in the parking lot
Happening regularly at a daiquiri shop I pass in a regular basis

i would eat there just to show support. but, i'm guessing they can't operate at all without a permit?
As of Saturday they are refusing to close
They were closed yesterday but should be opening today
Plan to get dinner tonight

Just keep operating and sue pants off the state afterwards.

You're getting hammered with downvotes, which is pretty funny. Replace "the guy" with "the protestor" or "the black guy on the cop video" and you'd have at least 100 upvotes.
The smell of hypocrisy in the morning!

Protesting doesn’t feed your kids or pay taxes
Give me an example of a cop going into a business & arresting a black guy for doing his job

Please point out where people here have a problem with people peacefully protesting.

I didn't realize the restaurant owner was an armed felon who had drawn his weapon on the police.
GTFO of here with your false equivalency bullshite. You're a joke.

If you don't want to go to his restaurant because of his policy don't!
This would require that people leave each other alone which isn't possible because a small minority of lunatics can't mind their own business.

That's the issue a lot of people have, it's not being voted on by the state legislatures, it's governors using their "emergency powers" in perpetuity.
Yet these same people jizz their pants when trump signs executive orders.

That was wrong when Obama did it, but Trump is just making America great again with his orders. /s

I don't understand why people are calling an bitching, it says it right on the door what to expect in this place of business. If you don't like it, go somewhere else.

In a Facebook post pinned to the restaurant's profile, the owner writes that masks are not required, and claims that they have "caused several medical reactions" to employees
Haha...what horseshite..do you know how many people wear masks 8 hours a day without “medical reactions”?
So does this mean they actually tried wearing masks but the medical reactions made them stop? Yeah ok..
