This is a massive increase in testing for Louisiana.

LINK

In March and April, it was not unusual for Louisiana to see a positivity rate over 40%.

Louisiana is testing more in one day than what was tested in an entire week in April, March, and May.

The positivity rate is now around 9%, and has been under 10% several days.

149 people require Ventilators. Down from about 560 at the peak in April.

And today's headline in the advocate is that there are not enough tests.

Florida alone is testing more than Italy at it's peak.

We are scraping the barrel to find Covid everywhere.

Actually, the Advocate headline is "2,000 more cases today!!!" While they ignore that we are testing more people. Of course the number of positives go up when you test more.

It's extremely difficult to find total numbers of people tested.

It's almost like our media refuses to even discuss it.

How many are repeats that get counted as new to up the positives? That's the number I'd like to see. Pretty easy way to manipulate the numbers being high when the same person is tested multiple times positive.

If they know that number, it will never be reported.

And when you ration testing due to a shortage (as was done in March), only the most serous or at-risk get the test.

So by massively increasing testing and making it more available, the mortality rate collapses - highlighting that this is an easily spread virus that isn't particularly serious if you aren't at risk.

Flip side is we were often down under 5% for a good stretch.

Tests are way up from the bottom but positive rates a bit more than double too
