Its bullshite to me everyone wants an easier road. It really make mad. No one wants to work hard and invest anymore. They just want it handed over to them. Makes me sick.
The government has intentionally created this culture over decades. I don’t know if it’s possible to go back now.
Like others have said, it’s not just the recipients, but it’s just as much corporations and food retailers who have grown dependent on the system.
The left cries that we can’t send illegals out of the country because they do so many jobs that Americans won’t do. They are fully aware of why Americans won’t do those jobs. Why should they with the system that’s in place now?

I have ZERO reason to ever be pissed off, I got lucky. But man I have had to work my arse off just to be alive today and now I am back on top and eveyrone else just wants handouts. Its so confusing. Is really does piss me off.

We will not deport all the immigrants but we have to say that we will.
I promise you Trump isnt deporting the Hispanics at my home depot of 249 in Houston. Not happening.
The illegals that are producing and not committing crimes, I think a blind eye is what is applied. If you are committing crime or even look like you are, gone. See ya later frick off.
I know for a fact the Texas folks will agree. There are many productive illegals that we dont want to see go. We should work with those to get them citizenship.

Get rid of the credit-card looking EBT cards and go back to actual stamps.
The card makes it harder to sell your benefits for cash. I have family members who sold theirs for cash or drugs, pennies on the dollar.

I agree, and I think these people deserve an easier path to citizenship. Problem is discerning the good from the bad is a judgement decision and will always be controversial.

This is what makes America great.
They want it, they want to work and be here, then lets let them be here.
If they plan on coming here to comitt crime and to vote for democrats they can be arrested and hung for all I care but they certainly need to be deported asap.

America is going downhill because we let bad immigrants in. It started with the Italians
It’s sad that everyone can’t be good immigrants like the Irish

You forgot to mention swisher sweets, pork skins, grape soda, and steaks.

The card should double as a photo ID. I've said this for years

From what I can gather, a part of it is the cost of enforcement/oversight.
I work in private consulting for a different government program (but one that is food related), and the amount of government employees nationwide dedicated strictly to enforcement of program rules is *WILD*. Enforcement of rules means things like in-person audits, which when you think about how many stores accept EBT, that's no small task.
Although, WIC still exists and manages to keep a very limited list without pushback, so who knows.

EBT should be like WIC in Mississippi in the past. You go to the WIC state run facility you give them your card, they punch it and hand you a box of food. NO CHOICE on what you get etc etc etc. My dad worked in the grocery business and would come home furious on what he saw folks buying with food stamps

Don't most states already have it set up where you get scan everything and your receipt has a cash balance of what is not covered by snap? Of course louisiana is behind on that

I seen places where the police officers were having to rely on food benefits just to survive..

Drive to a sanctuary state and go in a mens restroom. If you hit enough you should be good for a couple months.
