Nic Hunter has had a rough go with two major hurricanes, flooding, and a hard freeze all in his 2nd year of office.

Mix in covid restrictions and (continuing) insurance battles, he hasn't done bad at all with the cards he was dealt.

The one who gets away with doing the least is probably Perkins from Shreveport. Seems like he always MIA. Not sure where his time is spent but it doesn't seem like much of it is working for Shreveport.

Nic Hunter is legit. He couldn't get elected in one of the three biggest cities in the state but that's a shame, because he's far more capable than the degenerate retards in office there.

Josh Guillory is next best, but the stupid RINO politics in Lafayette limit his ability to do the things that city really needs done.

Friday Ellis has nothing - ZERO - to work with. He might be great but there's no way to tell.

Tommy Chandler seems fine. Bossier is always going to be a suburban place where the city council has more money than it needs and therefore votes itself swag from the city till. Chandler can't stop that. Nobody can.

Glaser is too new to know anything.

The rest? Reprobates and imbeciles you wouldn't let run a food truck.

as someone who comes from Shreveport, Mayor Perkins is the worst mayor in history. He is using shreveport as a stepstone to become a senator. He's despicable. bossier is 10x better than shreveport now

Most of his time is an even spent in Shreveport.

My Laffy in-laws voted for Guillory but they seem a bit put off by him as of late.

He’s just such a Boy Scout. He won’t get my vote next round.
I really like our mayor in Youngsville. Also like our sheriff.

He wasn't my favorite, but the alternative was Carly, Carlie, Carlee, or however her stupid name was spelled.

Thank god she didn’t win.
Last thing we need is a Dem mayor.

I'd vote for him in BR over SWB. Hell he'd probably do pretty good. The field for BR mayor was shite for the last election.

Your mayor that you really like, Ken Ritter, endorsed her.

She was the better choice (well for the city of Lafayette, that I live in).

I’m in Lafayette for business a lot but ignorant on these local issues, I’m genuinely curious… what’s wrong w/ Guillory?

Had high hopes for Perkins actually & I’m not even close to what you’d call “liberal”. He talked a good game, Harvard law, military service…even came to my friend’s cigar night to talk about his vision/ideas for SHV.
I believe that his 1 & only achievement was being ejected Mayor. He hasn’t done Jack shat since, just a total failure at all levels & a complete embarrassment. I would give him a little credit for at least trying to get things done, but I just don’t think he gives a crap. He just needs to go ahead & step down.

I don’t know, but Friday Ellis being elected Mayor of Monroe was unexpected to say the least.

Does Cynthia Lee-Sheng count for Metairie? I know Metairie isn't unincorporated but it is the 4th largest "city" in the state.

You have to separate military service from politics. Idngaf if this dude is the black Gen Geo. S. Patton. Use your fricking head for more than a hat rack baw.

Here's some of my gripes with him:

1. He walked back from a campaign promise that he would split up the mayor-president office after the vote for deconsolidation, so that the city of Lafayette could have its own mayor (only city in Lafayette parish that does not have one).

2. Lied/misled about the benefits of consolidation and exaggerated the downfalls of deconsolidation ahead of the fix the charter vote

3. Since he is a lawyer, he is extremely litigious. So many pending lawsuits made by and against LCG since he took office. One is around him suing a kid for making a satirical ANTIFA gathering event on Facebook (something that would appear on Daily Crawfish/Sadvocate). He spent double ($1.5 million) more in 2020 on attorney fees than the previous fiscal year.

4. Threw a hissy fit on TV because 2 people were BBQing in front of his house

5. Tried/trying to repeal Lafayette's unified development code in order to let developers give even less shits about their projects. Seems hypocritical to me to care about drainage projects and flooding abatement, but do this.
