Trump appointed judge

quote:

A Louisiana U.S. district judge blocked a federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate for health care workers Tuesday, issuing a nationwide injunction in another setback to President Joe Biden's effort to require wide segments of the population to be vaccinated.

Louisiana Western District U.S. Judge Terry Doughty's decision follows an identical ruling Monday from Missouri U.S. District Judge Matthew Schelp, but Schelp's decision only covered 10 states.

Doughty ruled on the lawsuit led by Republican Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry and joined by 13 other states, but Doughty added a nationwide injunction in his ruling.

In his decision, Doughty wrote the Biden Administration doesn't have the authority to bypass Congress in issuing such a mandate.

But the hospitals can still mandate it as a condition of employment, right?

I absolutely agree with the ruling, but a have a serious issue with these district judges implementing nation-wide injunctions.

Not as big of an issue as I have with a POTUS trying to enforce unconstitutional EO BS mandates and acting like it’s a fricking law.

I agree but what is good for the goose is good for the gander, Obama judges did it all the time to Trump.

Clarence Thomas has said in the past this needs to be addressed by SCOTUS.

Agreed, but those motherfrickers sure didn't have a problem doing it against anything Trump did. Here's to small victories.

How can you be a healthcare worker when you won’t do the most important thing for you and others health and go get vaccinated?

Course they can...but it's all on them....no hiding behind, "The government is mandating it so were just following orders"

The facility I work at just breathed a huge sigh of relief

I feel like they are covering their asses by easily granting exemptions with no challenges so they don't have to appear to crawfish.
Either way... we are winning the fight boys.

In many cases, I agree with you. But I support it when the admin is causing harm or even death to citizens and those that succumb to the mandate cannot get un-vaccinated when the courts decide the case.

A lawsuit with 100s of previous case law ruling in the employers right to require a vaccine?

Y’all can’t have it both ways. Either employers should have the right to run a business and hire who they want or daddy govt should have the right to boss them around

Pick a side
