But it’s not wrong.

Driving record being equal, why should my liability insurance as a lawyer be cheaper than the roustabout or the rice miller?

Why should I tell an actuary how to calculate risks?

I traveled 155 miles in September according to my Google timeline. Mine should be like $28.

Louisiana drivers with insurance already subsidize those without to a high degree.

Because statistically, lawyers as policy holders are likely to cost an insurance less over time than roustabouts or rice millers.

Because auto insurance isn’t the only industry that takes your credit score into account.

I’m not familiar with Florida’s laws, but at least Louisiana has the no pay no play law.

Agreed. But the next question is how much of your premium is subsidizing the risk of the miller and roustabout versus the “trial lawyer litigation problem”?

If the goal is reducing rates, why aren’t we being as transparent as possible about the components of said rates?

If I am correct florida has some of the highest car insurance rates in the US. I am getting gashed right now with my two kids and their vehicles on my insurance along with myself and my wife's vehicles.

The most soul crushing moment of undergrad for me was when I was buying shitty bagged cereal, cheap beer, and a big old pack of ramen noodles... The guy in front of me used his EBT card to get steaks and lobster tail and then had a roll of cash for his Henessy and vodka. frick me, I guess...

I had this exact same experience in med school. I’m like six figures in debt, thinking about how everything I spend will basically cost me double with interest, and this chick pulls out the EBT for lobster and then cash for the vodka. Soul crushing is the best way to describe it
