Going to need to stay shutdown till at least two weeks after Mardi Gras 2021 considering flu season is about to start and the holidays are coming up

Yea, but 26 people died last night. So those 2 hospitals is actually 28 new hospitals.

Seams like it has been forever since we had one of these debates.

I'm not saying the numbers are fake, but during the height of this I knew multiple people with Covid in state at any given moment. I do not know anyone with Covid in state at the moment. I obviously don't know everyone, but this leads me to be skeptical.

Total cases by collection date on or after 9/18/2020 - 5,536, plus hospitalizations equals 6,115. The number I posted yesterday using the same methodology was 5,906. There are 209 more active cases today than yesterday, an increase of 3.54%. 790 of the 889 new cases are from test dates during this time.

When's the last time we had an increase of cases this high? Seems like we've had a pretty solid record of declines recently, but I could just be misremembering.

Nursing homes are testing staff twice a week & residents once a week
Last Wednesday - this past Tuesday there were 248 resident & staff cases

Not sure what they are doing with jails

I’d be interested to see how many of the cases lately were symptomatic
