I don’t believe the hospitalizations numbers.
I go to different hospitals. And East Jeff has under 20 cases in the hospital.
And ochsner Kenner and West Bank both under 15. So not sure where 1000 are unless ER patients that are discharged that tested positive are counted

Again very specific, detailed numbers for everything but how many tests are old.

New Orleans area isn't the worst area of the state.

Different areas are getting hit rn but these hospitalization numbers are a bit misleading. They do not solely represent patients in the hospital because of Covid.

Add in Shreveport and those three regions account for just over 50% of the hospitalizations in LA.

Of course not, but more infections mean more hospitalizations mean more fatalities.
Doesn't mean a spike or uncontrollable.

Not a joke, but much less alarming than they were when all of the hospitalizations were happening in the NOLA, Metairie area

I don't think seeing a rise in hospitalization is that surprising. We knew it would likely happen.
Waiting to see the allocation of tests per parish. Seems that the test increase isn't just from skipping Saturday. Not sure how the state is going to handle it.

Areas that weren’t hit earlier are now getting it and vice versa. Similar pattern across the country.
