Does it really matter what the numbers are anymore? JBE already has it in his head that we’re going to Phase 1 by mid Aug. Then Phase 0 late Sept. He’s gotta get the timeline right so he can get us to Nov 3rd under some sort of lockdown/restrictions.
Doesn’t matter what the numbers are. He’ll pick and choose what’s important that week to justify the extensions. This week is lack of staff at Hospitals. Next week might be lack of testing supplies.

Whether you agree or not, there’s a legit chance that the decision will be made to go back to Phase 1. There’s already growing support of this around the country.

Wait, these numbers are the ones that resulted an 8 page twitter scolding from the governor? Also, interesting that the case numbers (something I think shouldn’t dictate policy) have “spiked” after mask mandates.

130,422 tests reported since Monday. It still blows my mind that they are processing that many tests. According to several folks working and attending, the free testing drive around BR was a huge fail. Most were ghost towns for the majority of the time.

can we now admit that no "mitigation measures" will stop this virus? i mean will a stay at home order slow cases? of course it will, then they will spike as soon as shite starts to open back up again.

What good will that do?
We have already demonstrated that the virus comes right back when we ease restrictions. We need to continue opening as long as the health system can continue to function, we haven’t reached the maximum of what we can take.
Get as much herd immunity as we can before flu season starts again.
