Have they defined "Healed"?
14 days since positive test and not in the hospital or deceased (when hospital status is known)
-OR-
21 days since positive test and not deceased (hospital status unknown)

Is Ochsner giving its employees the FDA approved test? I hear the non-FDA ones are not reliable

This test is only for use under Food and Drug Use Authorization (EUA). Commercial reagents are provided by Abbott Diagnostics for use with the Architect i system. It would be bad practice to assume all positive cases are resolved in three weeks.
Most public know example contrary was the maitre d at Clancy's. He was on a vent for around 3 weeks.
The 21 day recovery in the state's numbers only apply if the patient wasn't later tracked in a hospital.
Anecdotal Evidence....But seriously, you have to make some assumptions knowing there will be exceptions. The 21 days is the guideline given by ldh and based on when the patient tests positive. The information that we have readily available is when the positive test result is known, not when the test was administered. In addition, the date of the onset of symptoms does not matter wither. We don't know if the patient just started exhibiting symptoms or if they have had symptoms for 2 weeks prior to receiving the tests.

That's just flat out wrong. I know that our facility has people in Admin who are "neighbors" and are partnered with residents. Each Admin Neighbor contacted (or attempted to) each RP to make them aware of the situation and updated policies. I'm seeing notes in the EMR today regarding new cases as well being called to all RPs (except for those that don't answer or don't have voice mail set up).
But to lie and say NONE is just so f'ing wrong.

We're going to start proactively testing high risk areas to get the spike in cases we need to continue the lockdown.
He & Cassidy said as much in a presser last week. They're bringing the tests to those areas that people can't get out .. to equalize the health disparity or whatever words they used. Same conference where they discusses setting up the Health disparity task force or equality task force or something along those lines.
Numbers may very likely go up if they go this -- not saying they shouldn't BUT he shouldn't use that to keep us locked down.
And he even said he'd maybe consider "opening by area" but when he's lying about the numbers, well I just don't know what to say.

Are there any antibody testing efforts planned for Louisiana?
I got a text from Coastal Urgent care this morning offering antibody testing. I called them and I just need to come in and they'll give me the test and they'll bill the insurance.

We’ve got a great control study in a confined population. 96% of the positives displayed no symptoms. So what kind of rate will Bel and his merry men get when they only test people with what appear to be significant symptoms? The Dems are stacking stats like they rig votes in an election, something they are experts at.

By releasing results I just meant the % that had antibodies and what not. Not individuals of course due to HIPAA. Hope you stay well.

The same trends we have seen now for more than ten days. The extension wasn't necessary for most things.

9,000 sample size so far
extrapolated for the state has a 0.48% mortality rate. Seems in line with other state antibody studies
