What makes them much more scummy is the fact they target folks they think they can get over on with little resistance just to get their dick hard.

Its in the middle of the day with 100 degree weather and basically an empty launch.

What that cop did is equivalent to giving someone a ticket for jay walking in the french quarter.

The people that make these videos are so lame

I wasn't sure what a RC boat was.
Glad I click.
Poor fella does need some help with backing up the trailer
I don’t know whats worst the cop, someone launching a “RC” boat at an actual boat launch or the fact that he was filming it for his YouTube channel.
He did have some witty comebacks to the cop tho.

What random law did the guy break by driving his remote control boat at a boat launch?

I haven't seen any baw from Mandeville actually reply in this thread that a permit is needed to use that public boat launch. I've never had to have a permit, other than a WMA use license that the state just came up with, to use a public boat launch. Cop was full of shite, but they must have gotten a complaint from one of the other boaters for him to show up that fast and go straight to the launch.

Regardless, the cop was a prick at first talking about ole baw's "TOY" but the YouTuber was a dick right back just for his video. He even told the boy that was with him to make sure he films that cop when he pulled up because he knew he was going to start some shite with him, or had interactions with him before. They were both assholes.

Did you read to description from the video, dude admits he was in the wrong. But I guess you just saw the clickbait title and ran with it.

First off, it is actually a law that you can’t use a RC boat at a boat launch. There’s a few reasons why but mainly for safety. I know getting a ticket for playing with a rc boat is sounds ridiculous. I thought the same thing when the cop came ?up to me. I truly thought he was one of them cops that get board and do whatever because of how ridiculous his reasons for giving me a ticket sounded, but he was actually very nice at the end and really just doing his job.

I'm going search for the actual statute. hang tight

Sec. 34-4. - Boat launch use.
(a)An annual permit sticker for each boat trailer shall be required for all persons using the town boat launch facility. The permit sticker shall be effective from the date of issuance through December 31 of each year.(b)The permit sticker annual fee shall be established by the town council from time to time and shall remain on file with the clerk. The permit sticker must be secured to the trailer in an easily observable location.(c)Persons 65 years of age or older are exempt from paying the annual fee but must secure an exempt sticker which must be attached to the boat trailer.

Maybe a trespass, but on public property? Retarded arse cop.

I didn't read anything on the guys video. He's not citing any law I've seen before about RC's at a boat launch, but the permit to use the launch is what I was questioning.

Dude started the interaction by acting like a douche towards the cop and got a douchey attitude in return. If he’d have been somewhat polite and moved down the bank a little and away from the boat ramp, everyone goes on their way happy.

I thought it was kind of funny when he told the guy he needed a permit to launch his toy boat . Madisonville has 2 boat launches owned by the town and you’re supposed to buy a permit and put the decal on the tongue of your trailer.

And cops wonder why they’ve lost the general public’s trust. Modern cops could take a lesson from Dalton in Road House. “ I want you to Be Nice”. It’s that fricking simple….

Instead… you’ve got a cocksucker flexing his desired authority for no reason

Even Barney Fife wouldn't need Sheriff Andy in Mayberry to tell him to chill out. This is about common sense. If he was messing up other boats launching and acting dangerous then have him move until no boats are trying to launch or pick up. I think this is just silly. In this city, they can actually use sense to deal with him rather than trying to prove he is more important by flashing his badge.

So if he just didn’t use the rc car to launch he would have been good?

The cop should have just come up and talked to the dude about how cool his RC boat is. Even though it was lame and kept flipping over. He wasn’t harming anyone.

Instead the fat arse cop gives the dude a hard time. This is why people hate cops. This and when they shoot people for no reason.

Thats the boat launch in Madisonville and they do require a permit to use it, but you literally go to the gas station and pay. Its $20 and 35 seconds out of you life.

Of course. They're just bullies with a badge and a gun and the authority to end your life as you know it at the drop of a hat. They should live under a microscope and be severely disciplined for any infraction.

It’s the cops job to diffuse the situation. Politely ask the patron to move down the bank and have empathy. This jackass cop played his small town power card and should be disciplined for it.
