The dealership doesn't own the vehicles on their lot. Someone is financing them. The common term for this is "floorplanning."

Close. They DO own the vehicles on the lot. If they didn't own the vehicle, they could be the selling part on the bill of sale (I guess they could hold them on consignment, but that's not happening here, either). . You are correct otherwise - the inventory is financed which is referred to as floorplanning, with the interest charged referred to as floorplan interest.

Fun fact, the tax reform changes at the end of 2016 had a special stipulation for floor plan interest expense - it is specifically not subject to the new interest expense limitations.

Am I the only person who associates the term “North Louisiana” with Alabama? Seems like everytime West Monroe or Neville has a 5 star, he’s basically a bama Lock. These days same goes for Amite.

You're a constant shite stirrer on this site with North LA vs. South LA posts. Your post before this one was "Nobody gives a shite about north Louisiana. Nobody." Then you wonder why a North Louisiana player would choose to play out of state. You know the answer so quit being obtuse. Nice alter.

It might mean the floor plan bank has sent in a “keeper”.

I don't even know what this means.

Would they ever have a reason to go pull their keys? Why would a bank make it impossible for a dealer to make money if they were owed?

What type of trust would be involved?

If the floorplan isn’t getting paid back on cars whose tickets are getting punched (sold) they will send in someone to do an inventory and take over the keys to all the cars covered by the floorplan. This is also called being “out of trust.”

I appreciate the knowledge.

This process sounds very close to the rumors that are coming out.

I wonder if it is true.

I was staying at the Arizona Biltmore last week.

I had a Tequila Sunrise at the bar there because that's (allegedly) where the drink was invented.

I didn't see ketchup there my entire stay.

Did you really have a picture of your fruity drink in your phone?

Since I get banned for the f word, I'll just say that's very soccer of you, baw.

I guess it has to be Ruston, West Monroe, or Winnsboro.

BMW recently came to Monroe and shut down Hixson BMW.
They never had more than 10 cars on the entire lot or so it seemed.

You're not clever or intimidating.

You being banned was addition by subtraction here.

tl/dr: Post less or self-ban. Thanks

I must say that you're more intimidating without your pink drink.

It sounded more east.

I am wondering which one it is.

My wife's friend, who works at another dealership in Monroe, texted her and said that the Ford dealership in Monroe was sold to someone out of the NOLA area.

That doesn't surprise me at all. I know a few guys that have worked there and said the place was in trouble. They said the Hixson's had no clue how to run a business. I guess that's why BMW pulled their dealership from them.
