IMO the boardwalk wont be around much longer, went on tonight with cool weather (for July)and it was like a ghost town. All stores were empty many stores closed.I’m guessing the biggest problem is high rent and internet shopping. I Heard they were putting a top golf down there by Margaritaville, I just don’t see how the place survives much longer. Anyone have a solution or seen anything different than me?

What is the Louisiana Boardwalk? I’ve never heard of it. Is it in Texas?

Pretty sure it’s called the boardwalk that’s what all locals call it. It’s in Bossier City.

Nobody fro South LA cares about North Louisiana except the people who went to college up there.

You realize a hurricane is rolling through the state at the moment, right?

I doubt anyone from South LA comes as a tourist to Bossier City for the boardwalk.

Was the "from South LA" qualifier really necessary?

You will care in twenty to forty years when south louisiana is gone and north la is oceanfront property and the new redneck riveria.

The weather is playing a part in this but I used to work on the Boardwalk. The rent and management were always a pain in the arse. Hardly any restaurants or quality stores there anymore. Malls are real estate time bombs.

It’s free to loiter, and there are zero no loitering signs 1000 feet from Shreveport. It’s not difficult

It’s pretty sad to see what it’s become. I honestly don’t see how many of the stores can afford to pay rent when few shop there. Even the Hooters is having trouble there and don’t ever go to the IHOP. I’ve heard stories from a higher up that use to manage the boardwalk.

Salt grass
Joes crab snack
Buffalo Wild Wings
Cheesecake Factory
Hooters

They used to have some really good restaurants when they first opened but most of those have gone.
