You've scarred those poor children for life.
jk.That shite never happened.

Next time just ask to move - I've done this before. The one neighborhood I frequent in Chicago is all 30 somethings bringing their kids out - most of these places I would never bring my kid to, some are legit bars. I swear they have mommmy meet ups in these beer gardens because sometimes there are more kids than adults. One time there was literally a kid crawling under my table on the sticky floor full of booze.
Nothing you say to the parents or the kids is going to really help the situation. Typically, serving staff will understand because they are over stuff like that too.

None of this happened

I agree. Which is why you say something to the parents. Not the children.
If my kids were acting up in a restaurant and someone approached me about it, I'd thank them for letting me know and I'd rectify problem.
If they feel the need to aggressively yell at my kids, there would be a problem.
Pretty simple. Find the parents if you cant just pay your bill and leave.

Why should I have to “pay my bill and leave” when you’re little shits are running around disturbing everyone? I’m glad I yelled at those assholes because the look in their eye told me they’d never been disciplined before and I was the first strong male figure to put them in their place. Maybe it’s your shitty little family that needs to “pay the bill and leave” so y’all don’t disturb anyone else

Ive def experience this before, thats why I dont drink in public wheres kids. Better to go to adult restaurants and bars.

Its the parsnts fault. Not the kids.

Exactly the kids are one thing but the parents not parenting can’t be mad when some actually does it.

You yelled at young children and couldn’t figure out a better way which included dealing with adults or the restaurant? Geez. I’m glad you woke up feeling badly. You should.

Normally I don’t butt in. But I debated it before I said something.

You take it out on the parents, not the kids.

The other parents should have felt bad for letting their kids run around like a pack of wild animals long enough for it to irritate another customer into doing their job for them.

Ok cool. I invite you to yell at my kids.
Then your wife can watch you get your teeth smashed in. Should be a memorable evening for both of you.

Or they were just wondering who TF the angry, drunk man causing a scene was?

just lost it. Screaming at these kids to have some respect for other people at the restaurant and to go sit with their parents.

It’s a dirty job, but someone has to do it!!! Kudos to you.

Nah, that makes way too much sense.
He'd rather yell at kids.
You think he'd yell at a rowdy group of college kids drinking? Nope. Cause he knows they wouldn't have that shite and they'd embarrass him in front of his wife.
If adults were acting an arse, he'd talk to waitress or manager. Because he viewed kids as easy targets, he wanted to flex...which wouldn't happen to anyone other than kids.
Congrats for being tough with children without exploring alternative options first. You're soft.

Yeah that’s the way to teach your kids!
