Only had graduating classes of like 8-10 people and 150 kids total in K-12 when they closed in 2007. Divided the kids up to other schools to save money

I believe Pointe Coupee Central is now the STEM Magnet Academy. Wonder if the school even has a football team now.

List is missing Evangeline Academy. Mascot was the Rebels. Located about 1/4 mile north of where Vidrine High School is. (Vidrine Elementary now).

Pretty sure our guberment shut it down (unfortunately) cause it was segregated. About 1974, maybe 73

In 1966 Providence Academy (girls) and Menard Memorial (boys) was combined to form Holy Savior Menard in Alexandria.

You can add Belaire High School in Baton Rouge. It was lost when they redistricted and took Medical magnet away

Runnels, starkey academy, Gables Academy, Buras High School and Port Sulpher all gone now too

There was a school called Plain Dealing Academy northeast of Bossier. Ridgedale in West Monroe was not on the list either.

Greensburg HS was not closed but was consolidated. The old GHS property is now the site of St Helena something something Prepatory Academy

ETA: St Helena HS, Woodland HS, and Greensburg were consolidated
