Lost a good one today . Best friend a person could have .

First don’t read if it’s to long
I just got a call that a brother of mine had a heart attack and passed today . His family were from Boyou Pidgeon and they took me in as a son . We lived and worked together from 1978 till around 1993 . Can I say we partied and worked our arses off . I introduced him to his wife . We split ways for several years then out of nowhere our paths brought us back . It was like we were never apart . Weird part was he went on to become a PA , I an RN , his little girl an OBGYN and his son an Orthopedic surgeon .
I’m sure some of you might know him or his family .
We text or talked daily and I knew something was weird when he hadn’t text me . Man I’m gonna miss my brother . Sorry for rambling

He had a brand new Orange Goodtimes van . The inside of that thing had orange shagalishous carpet with a bed in back . 8 track stereo . That’s all I remember . I was happy to get his culls !

He had retired about a month ago . He told me he was really getting his stuff straight and just enjoying simple things . Live and love cause it’s gone before you know it. This hit hard !

Losing people unexpectedly is horrible, also horrible watching a person struggle.

My son really looked up to him and actually wanted to live with him and attend LSU . He was the older voice that he would listen to but wasn’t his Dad . I haven’t told him cause I’m working 18-20 hrs straight. I have to say It’s going to very rough on my son .The last time we talked ,I made a point to let him know how much he meant to us and we all loved him . We just were like that .
