I have always heard getting old is not fun. A big part is losing friends. Seemed like I hit 50 and it really started with one after another. Had a high school friend pass this week. Was a good dude.

Sorry for your loss. Even in this hard time, give thanks for having had the chance to experience such a friendship with him. It's tough losing friends unexpectedly.

My wife and I each have friends I think can be like this to our future family. I only hope they are.
