Looks like the Governor's order allows casinos to open.

Are they going to hit the ground running? With the money involved I am surprised we haven't heard more. Pretty easy to space the slots. Perhaps more attendants to wipe down machines. Tables like craps could be a bigger challenge.

I'm curious about blackjack. Seems like it would be a problem, not sure how you do the betting and payouts with live chips in the current covid hysteria.

A lot of casinos have the tables for it. But I've never liked it, takes half the fun away.

Poker is also an obstacle with everyone sitting so close and sharing cards.

The Gaming Control Board here in Vegas is limiting the number of players at table games. 6 for craps, 4 for poker, 3 for blackjack and roulette. Not sure how they plan to deal with the cards/chips.

I’m more curious what the capacity of Harrah’s, Treasure chest and Boomtown are so we know how many people can get in.

At this point, I can't imagine that the Casino's care how many people come in to spend money. The optics may look like it in the gaming rooms but that's about it.

Yeah, it'll be curious how they determine capacity. Average casino is huge. Hotel, dining, conference/event rooms.
Do the fire code/capacity limits set a number for the gaming floor? Because it seems like a casino's capacity would technically be way more than could ever play on the gaming floor, so there may not have to be a real decrease in number of gamblers allowed.

Yeah Harrahs never seems like it’s at more than 25% capacity unless it’s peak Mardi Gras/saints/bowl game etc. Place is built for the peak times but is never close to full during normal daily operation.
Hopefully they give priority entrance to diamond and above.

The capacity of these casinos are very large and they were at about 30 percent capacity most of the time before the pandemic started, so it probably won't be much of an issue. Besides, who is going to enforce this? Doubt they will hold people out unless the places are packed.
