And the casinos in Shreveport.
I have been to the horseshoe in Shreveport twice and both times the primary reason wasn't to gamble, but both times I would say 80% of the cars in the parking lot had Texas plates. If Texas legalized gambling those casinos in Shreveport will be out of business within a year.

LC also and that’s why TF and Penn will go down fighting legal gaming in Tx.

How much revenue do casinos drive today? They are everywhere...it seems like the market is saturated. In my experience outside of Vegas and AC in the states they are pretty dead....Mississippi coast seems to be on par with Vegas and AC at a smaller scale. I haven't been to AC in 30 years so for all I know its about like Tunica. I am pretty certain the casinos even in Vegas are not driving as much revenue as the entertainment, restaurants and night life do but I may be wrong....for the most part even in Vegas table games are mostly shutdown even during peak hours and the slots seem less and less crowded. Seems like the thing to build is a massive resort/restaurant/bar and entertainment complex and leave the gambling and associated headaches to those already in the business where the legal needle has been threaded.

Probably worse than casinos
At least casinos provide jobs
They are also somewhat regulated....online gambling is rife with opportunities to be defrauded or seems like it could be. I don't bet on sports but simply judging by the amount and type of gambling online sports books promote they come off as shady as hell.

Golden Nugget stacked! That place averages a million in profits a day.

The casinos in Lake Charles including Delta Downs in Vinton with just slot machines generate nearly $90 million per month
Golden Nugget about $30 M per month
LDL about $30 M per month
Delta Downs $15 M per month
Horseshoe $12 M per month
Since it's an indian casino, the numbers aren't public, but Coushatta is rumored to generate another $30 M per month
That's a $110'ish M per month impact on SWLA and that's not including the hotels and restaurants that aren't part of the casinos, which also benefit

Profit is what head of maintenance told the supervisor for Alfred Palma who then told us. It could’ve been misinterpreted along the way, but the point is they are doing very well.

Dan Patrick is the worst kind of Republican.

No it's revenue. It's all public data you can look up yourself. This is from December.

Sounds good to me. Keep that trash out of TEXAS.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. Guess there was some miscommunication from what I heard.

Correct.
The blocking of more gambling in Texas has less to do with moral superiority and more to do with Indian (feather not dot) campaign contributions

I thought Adelson said they had no interest in selling?
Although if I was a Mavs fan I would hope they do.

BTW, that's just gaming revenue. That's not hotel and resort fees, concerts, hosting events, dining, etc
You add in those things and the revenue is pushing over $40 million per month
When Tilman Fertitta obtained the license, he purposely built GN to be an entertainment hub because those things aren't subject to the states 21.5% sin tax like the gaming revenue is so GN does make more than LDL due to those extras. I wouldn't be shocked to find out it makes $10 million per month or more after everything is said and done.

I know they’ve been talking about building another hotel since they’re booked to capacity a majority of the time. A lot of times we can’t do shut downs because of that. They’re also planning on building a dedicated concert/event building. They’ll then turn the current event center upstairs into more casino space.

They can't. Gaming floor space on riverboats, which GN is considered to be, even though it's on a barge, is capped at 30,000 square feet per law.
