Seriously ... commuting to Washington Parish, Lake Ramsey is a good call. For being a little closer to town (i.e. Covington), Oak Alley, River Forest or Savannahs would be good.

The driving factor should be your child's school and extra curriclars, and how far your family has to travel for those. You'll need to do some research on the school and rec districts. I'm happy to help, but we would have to discuss off line.

Note that 1077 is the back door to Folsom. So you could tap into some of those new Madisonville subdivisions (Madisonville schools, Coquille Rec).

If you'd like to talk, I'll temporarily post an e-mail address. I grew up in the area, was a builder for 20 years and am the program director of Leadership St. Tammany.

If you want real quiet and a (pretty) good school system, I have a 3400 sq ft house that may be for sale soon in northern Tangi

Madisonville is full. Sorry

Abita Springs is also full. I wouldn't want to live there if I were you.

Bedico Agrees with this. We’re only accepting treehouse dwelling residents now.

Enjoying life. The City is in a good place. No big surprises, smooth transition.

#2 son got me on the field pre-game Peach Bowl. As I was leaving the field through the tunnel, O and the team came out, like a herd of water buffalo I tell you. It was just me, O, the team and a cloud of smoke at the end of the tunnel ... a highlight of my Tiger Life.

I'm not catching as much live music as I used to, but in my new role I do get help book the bands for the City events. I booked the Iguanas for April, So that's cool.

Mrs. Fat Man is good (no pics ... lol), all the boys are good and all the granddaughters are good.

It's good to be the Fat Man .

If working up that way I would give independence, Loranger and Amite a look in LA or you could cross the pearl and get better property value and schools in Pearl River County MS we love it here.
Your commute would be horrendous living south of I12 in Mandeville I would definitely live north of Covington if working that far north. I commute to Mandeville from Carriere and it isn’t too bad since I learned some back ways but it’s a solid 45 min to 1 hr commute each way.
