Would you say there are other areas worth considering for fishing/hunting/activity access?

I assume Missoula, Boise, Kalispell and Idaho Falls?

Elk hunting is pretty good but there is a lot of pressure because of the proximity to cda and Spokane

There are more elk in WA state and the hunting is excellent.

Not everyone wants to pay over 600 to hunt Idaho when an elk tag is 50 or a deer/elk/bear/cougar tag is 95 in state.

Idaho gets a lot of hunters but it has way less pressure than WA, OR, MT, WY, and UT.

Idaho is a big state. Finding an area to hunt without a bunch of people won't be hard.

Cool deal, that’s where I worked. Enjoy and good luck with the move. I can’t say I don’t miss it sometimes.

Boudin, the whole region has good hunting. All those places would give you plenty of opportunities, just depends on what you’re going after and the differing habitat and microclimates from place to place. Outdoor life had an article years ago that proclaimed Lewiston ID as the best town in the US for an outdoorsman.

Winters aren’t bad at all. The snow isn’t too bad and they keep the roads cleared. A lot of winter outdoor stuff to do so we love it. Honestly thought winters were going to be a lot worse.

I’ve been researching for about a year. I got licensed in Idaho and Colorado. I’ve just been watching indeed.com

Same with me. Never been there before but took a job (I’m an MD). Loved it since but it is tonight being away from family. We see them as much as we can and made it to LSU championship game. Plan on going back to a game once a year.
