Looking to purchase a gas grill, $1000 budget

I've read threads on here and everyone loves the Weber Genesis which runs around $700 give or take. I'm okay with that one but I want to get something a little nicer. Viking would be ideal but these go for way more than my $1000 budget. Which kind should I be looking for?
We already have a big green egg, just finding something that my SO can use as well. FYI, I've never owned a gas grill.

I'm not a grill guy so this is a serious question...what type of improvements or upgrades can you realistically expect from a $1000 grill you can't find in a $700 grill?

So go with the Genesis and spend the remainder on add ons

Exactly the range I'm looking at. Do I want to pay an extra $100 for the searing thing?

I know two people that bought Blaze appliances for outdoor kitchens recently. I cooked on one and it was nice, but I don't know much about them.

Unless you're wiling to step up to the Weber Summit series you won't find a better grill than the Genesis in that price range.

$1000 gas grill? WTF? Spend that money and get a green egg unless your just a lazy arse and love gas grills.

Buy a Traeger Wood Pellet Grill...you will enjoy it much more, it will have better food come off of it and you can smoke meat as well.

I guess the look on my face is what I see everyone else look like when I say I want a bike but don't want to spend more than $3000 on the frameset.
