We have a older (Maybe close to 10 years old) Sharp 60" that is probably on its last leg. Has a power supply issue that I dont want to fix. It also does not have all the apps that we have services for
Im looking for a 60-70 inch screen that can do Netflix, Hulu, etc.
Also, have not looked for one in a while so I am not up on any of the new technology. Can anyone here do a summery of whats available now and what is new? Id like to keep the price under 1K if possible.
I have a surround sound amp and we hook a Blue Ray up and that is about it.
Thanks in advance..

All of them do this now. Just look on Best Buy website, see what’s on sale, and buy it

A TCL roku tv at that size should be below $1000. I've had a 65 inch TCL for over a year and have had no issues

Don't forget you will need to get your tv professionally color calibrated so you may have to increase your budget a bit or go with a smaller tv to come in under $1,000.

There just so many to choose from.
I just updated my Tv’s this year.
Bought 2 Sony’s over 60” and 2 55” for my camp along with the house.
I find the picture quality is great in a light or dark room.
10 out of 10
The computer side is horrible and having issues with 2 of them less than 2 months old they switching out the tv’s as I have in home extended warranty. Computer or functions side I rate sony 2 out of 10. It just does not flow well plus two computer programs inside two of the tv’s went down in less than 2 months after 3 service calls. These were under $1000 not by much.
Then for the bedrooms 55” where it is darker for the cheap Best Buy brand in a firestick.
Picture not bad in a darker room versus a lighter room it is ok.
Firestick flows a lot better for the smart tv features.
Picture in a lighter room avg.
6 out of 10.
Functions such as smart tv runs smoothly 10 out of 10. Really cheap $300 or slightly less. Wanted TCL they were out as that suppose to be the it TV in the less expensive TV price range.

Check out Costco and Best Buy for some great prices on TV's.
I'm sure they have something to fit your criteria.

We got a Vizio smart 65" black Friday. It is suppose to be their base model, but it looks great to me and was $300 or $400. The Vizio smartcast has netflix, amazon, Disney+ among another 1000+ built in casting apps you can dowload. It also comes with built in chromecast for things that they don't have an app for. I'd buy it again 10X over. The model number and price varies slightly depending on who you buy it from, Sams, costco, bestbuy, walmart, whoever. It is the Vizio V series.
You can get a more bleeding edge TV for more money, but what we went from, about a 8-10 year gap in upgrading TV's the base models do fine IMO.

Yep. I've got some age on me and I can remember buying a console 25 inch RCA color TV back in the mid 70's that cost over $500.
Now you can get much larger TV's with much clearer pictures that also don't weigh as much as a teenager for a hell of a lot less in today's dollars.

Are you in Birmingham by any chance? I have a 65" LG 4k I'm trying to get rid of. Great condition, but no stand. (Wall mount included). Model is about 3-4 years old.
