78ish. No naps

You start hearing colors and seeing sounds at that point. It's fricking nuts.

Opiate withdrawals are a bitch.

Same here. I lived off of coffee cigarettes and adderal for 3 days. I was a live fricking wire by the end of day 3.

yes the thread where everyone claims to have stayed up for a week straight. Love these threads

It’s a regular thread. Monthly maybe. Science tells us the human body will shut down when sleep deprived but the OT tells us otherwise. The world record is 11 days, and humans will start to hallucinate after just a few sleepless days, but the average OTer apparently can go a week or so.

ETA Actually this month’s thread is more realistic than usual. Way to go, OT

About 90 hours without sleep in 2014. Went to the doctor, she thought I might be bipolar. I was experiencing tachycardia, restlessness and some GERD. I thought I had a heart problem. I had a CT scan and EKG. Turned out to be anxiety.

I just read today that Keith Richards stayed up 9 days straight.
I’ve stayed up over 3 days.

60 hours

with 12 hours of coaching training and playing soccer. I finished my gauntlet by watching the Dirty Birds get their hearts ripped out by NE.

Nov. 8, 2016. I awoke about 5 a.m. that morning and didn't get back to sleep until Nov. 9, 2016 at 9:30 a.m., so about twenty eight and a half hours without a wink of sleep - but it was worth every second ot it.

Maybe 60 hours. I don't remember. It was during finals my senior year. I was so bad off that when I wrote up stuff on the white board, I started hallucinating that the letters were moving

The tails of the why's were swinging back and forth and the arms on Ks were going up and down

I have insomnia..before I got treatment I once went about 4 nights without any sleep at all... was hallucinating and had body aches worse than any flu I've ever had. Same...
Was almost 5 full days...but finally crashed. Delirium is very real.

I've had several 3 night stints of no sleep...hallucinations always seem to begin around 50ish hours.

Naturally: I’ve worked about 40 hrs straight plus time to travel home, shower and drink a beer or two before falling out.

With “help” from Columbia: about 3 days. Did that quite a few times back in the day. The first 24 is pretty cool. You start thinking “look at all of the stuff I’m missing while I’m asleep. The second day your mind starts acting differently, rationalizing the irrational. By day three it’s pretty much “what the frick am I doing “.

I once stayed up for nearly 4 straight days. It felt like I was tripping on acid at the end of it. I kept hearing songs that weren’t actually playing (all country songs for some reason) hallucinations, etc. The problem was, I had anxiety about my lack of sleep and it just made it worse. I eventually had to take like 2 Xanax to calm me down. Slept for about 18 hours straight. I didn’t feel “normal” until about 3 days later. Lots of pharmaceuticals involved.
