Long rant: how do these people function in society? Plus funny dog gifs

Getting on the interstate at 12 and Essen at 5:20 yesterday. Traffic slow as molasses in the winter.

Finally get to where the on ramp is and there’s a car stopped in the lane. Dead stopped in the middle.


People just going around it, going on the left shoulder.


I pass by and see what looks like someone slumped over the steering wheel.

I go past and I just can’t fight my nature. I have to do something. So I pull over on be nice wide right shoulder and put my flashers on.
Then get out and start to cautiously make my way to this vehicle. My right hand is dancing near the knife at my side, ready for whatever.

I get to the vehicle and look in the open window and the dude is just staring down at his phone.

I ask him him if something is wrong and he says “Nah man, i just ran out of gas.”


Tell him he can’t just sit in the on ramp. I tell him to put it in neutral and push it into the WIDE OPEN SHOULDER. Right next to him.

I mean, if I hadn’t made him move how long would he have sat there with people going around him?




Bonus: off ramp at Spanish and 9th, 1G I think. Come around that blind curve and there are these three...girls I guess, but they were built like buffalo and one of them was pushing a baby carriage.

Walking 3 abreast on the off ramp. On their phones. Jabberjawing.

With a sidewalk on the other side of them.

I yelled at them to get on the damn sidewalk before an 18-wheeler came in hot off the interstate and made them a moon pie.



How do people even function without basic critical thinking skills!?
