That's child's play. I wish that was my situation.

Only one way to make long distance relationships work. Cheat.

Birmingham - near Philly, almost 2.5 years like this. Takes effort but we've made it work.

It is hard, but both sides have to work at it
She has to travel to see you for it to work

I'm about to find out. We'll be 10 hours away for the next 2.5 years. I have high hopes and low expectations.

In the process of starting one.
~ 5 hours apart but I work 60 hour weeks. I'm not sure what the end result will be.

There isn't any poon on the planet worth traveling for that you can't get locally, just FYI.

Driving distance?
that's not long distance in my book.

Yeah... Pulled it off for a couple of years back when I was younger. Say around 22-24ish.
Nary a chance in hell I'd even attempt it today tho. With age has come wisdom and said wisdom has shown me time and time again that bitches will stray without daily attention much like I stray when in a local relationship.

Oh, you've read my posts? Then you should know that 99% of everything I have posted has been nothing more than trolling and/or screwing around. Or are you too dim to have realized it?

My issue with this is that the visits are all like romantic getaways with a ton of "good" times for the 2-3 days that they are in town. But then the stars finally align and you two actually live in the same city, it's not a romantic get-away relationship, it's all the "bad" parts of relationships that flood in. And then you realize that you just wasted the last 1-2 years of your life

Did it for a year and a half. It takes a lot of effort from both people, but if you are willing to put in the work it's worth it. Ours was only Baton Rouge to Houston, so not terrible and an easy weekend trip.

Yep, 2.5 years to start our relationship off. Been married for almost ten years now.

Did the lafayette - dallas relationship for little over a year. now we're married. It worked for us; it took a lot of hard work but it definitely is is possible.

Distance means nothing if you really like each other. Easy to overcome.

Is it desperation in thinking you couldn't find anyone else to fulfill their role? They could die or something, and you'd never be able to get past it?
Emotions are a bit exaggerative, just logically access the situation and do what's best for both.

I'm in a Baton Rouge - Dallas relationship. Just over a year now. It has its hard days, but it works.
