Considering the amount of work that gets done in LP, this probably means nothing.

Wash your hands
Wear a mask
Stay six feet apart
Stay indoors

Remember…we’re in this together.

Terrebonne has now done the same with its government tower.
The dam is about to break...

May be a good thing. I haven’t found much good coming out of any government offices lately so maybe things won’t be as fricked up.

I understand the knee jerk reaction due to the current fear mongering issues, but this appears to be staff related. If an office has 25 employees and more than half are sick and can't come to work, and the office can't function, it makes sense to shut it down until everyone can come back to work.

Yeh... if only we didnt have a year worth of examples of how that is not likely to happen (2 weeks to flatten the curve)

People are only freaking out because of what happened before, but this isnt a big deal

Small offices have closed before for flu and other outbreaks within the office itself

I will have to give them props for their OMV. I recently went there due to the weeks long wait in BR, and it was a downright religious experience. I had no idea a government office could actually be clean, efficient, and full of friendly workers. In and out in 20 minutes and I didn't fear for my life in the parking lot.

This is getting way bigger than a small office shutting down, feels like the slippery slope about to happen again. They just announced Atlanta Public School mask mandate for fall, 56k students, 4K faculty. This fricking sucks.

Atlanta Public Schools will implement a universal mask policy for the fall semester.

It's round 2 of lockdowns that will actually crash the economy this time around.

Yeah that’s what I’m fearing. The New York post has an article out saying the Biden White House is mulling a mask mandate. Feels like it’s brewing again.

The article I saw on WBRZ had a quote that said the closure was more due to “staffing shortages” because of people testing positive.

So the answer to being short staffed is to go to zero staffed?

Dumb question, but does this mean their OMV closes at 1pm? I have an appointment there at 1:40 and no one will ever answer their phones.
