Why do you want to get married ?
How does that improve your current situation ?
Seems like marriage just complicates relationships.

Can point to strong marriage as basis for successful people in my family. Likewise, can point to weak marriage as basis for unsuccessful people in my family. Sure as sunset in west. Therefore, it deserves much respect. Living together ain’t it.

I would flip this on its head. Successful people are well-adjusted and more likely to be able to make relationships work. They’re also drawn to other well-adjusted people.

Unsuccessful are less likely to be well-adjusted, and they bond with other poorly adjusted people. Now the question is whether these people are drawn to similar people, or if they’re left with those people after the successful/well-adjusted types distance themselves

PROVE lmao

Glad you have life figured out. Everyone who chooses to do differently is just ignorant to such obvious facts.

Bob, you picked wrong person to challenge current situation.

I am married for 30+ years to soulmate of 37.5 years. Marriage is foundation to not only our relationship but also kids and eventual descendants and their descendants and so on.

It does not improve situation. It sets strength of foundation and launch pad for success for those who follow in so many ways.

Marriage is the rock. No matter what porn hub and Charlie Sheen’s meth coolness tries to articulate.

Idiotic not to live together before. Also, it was much harder to get divorced back then so you cant compare statistics. Do better.

Agree. You really don't know someone until you live with them. Marriage is hard enough without adding unknown factors to the mix.

Yeah Luke 69:420 says “do not share rent and the Netflix bill before being blessed by The Lord, shacking up will get ya sent to hell”

If you think things were “better” in 1950, then you’re living in a nostalgic fog.

The best time to ever be alive is right now.

I am what everyone should be.

The end.

Awesome.

If true.

And remind us again what He said?

No matter what happened before His arrival.

Including all corners of the Earth. And all the different languages. And logistics challenges. And time. And gender receptions.

Gulp.

Moved in together in college after she had a concerning encounter with her neighbor. Been together for 14 years, married for 10.

However, is the government's licensing and approval really holy?
You seem to confuse a civil license with presenting your relationship before the Lord. These may happen simultaneously, but are not the same.
