Living in Pass Christian?

Can anyone comment on what living in Pass Christian is like? And a follow-up question: Is living there all about being on the water, such that if your home is not on the water, there's not much point in living there?
Thanks.

You call that living?

ETA: Sorry, I listened to Tom Fitzmorris for too many years.

My son lives right by there and likes it. Some good little restaurants close by in Bay St. Louis. Good entertainment options close by in Biloxi. Good fishing in the area. Reasonable real estate prices.

If you have children, they have excellent public schools. You don't have to be near the water - you can live inland and have more open space. You also have a lot of entertainment options within a 2-hour drive.

There is nothing to do in PC. BSL or Ocean Springs have lots of events, festivals and concerts. Those are much better options if you want to have any fun...

The Pass is nice. Schools are a little better in Long Beach, but you pay for it in property tax.

Would live there as opposed to many surrounding communities. I've always enjoyed PASSing through.

They just had a referendum to increase the property tax so they can renovate the high school.

I'd look towards Bay St Louis if the option was there. That town is on the upswing and building a cool downtown. Schools in Bay are top 10% in the state if you have kids

The Mississippi gulf coast is very underrated. I enjoy the heck out of that region. Plenty to do in that area

I have relatives that live in Bay St. Louis. Had an aunt who lived in Pass Christian, but she passed away.

Of course, they got hit really hard by Katrina, but at least Bay St Louis actually seems like a nice little place to live. I've only been to Pass Christian once, and that was for a funeral, years ago.

It's Mississippi, the correct wording would be "they have less shitty schools than anywhere else in the shitty state"

So in summation, you have nothing to add.

Why would you even comment on this thread? You offer absolutely nothing to the conversation except to make it about you.
