Always wondered why it wasn’t named Pont de Breaux.

hmm I was going to say just live in Lafayette but at 58 and a housing offer, I’d be Poche’s #1 customer.

My relatives father owned a couple homes that he rented as camps and also lived in Atchafalya Acres in Butte La Rose.

It’s like anything else.
There a lot of wow no thank you places.
Then there are also a few nice camps or homes.
They do have some full timers that live in that subdivision.

Warning stay away from Poché all that good food will get you fat quick.

you say the company will provide housing, what does that mean?

they buying you a house? renting a house? housing allowance?

buying and want property? then north of I-10 on the Teche or South of town off of 347

buying and don’t want property? then find an older home in town by the church

renting? good luck finding something decent in breaux bridge

They are in the process of purchasing a place for this position or provide a cabin at a resort in the area.

What kind of work?

Lafayette is a very pretentious area. They try hard to be like an Austin type of city.

most of the older houses in and outside of breaux bridge are wooden on piers or the brick ranch style

there are some newer neighborhoods scattered around
there is a decent neighborhood over by the hospital
most of the new construction is north of I10

a cabin in a resort? Bayou Cabins Bed and Breakfast?

Breaux Bridge is a pretty decent-sized town but gives off "single traffic light town" type vibes. The downtown is quiet and quaint, and it'd be fine if you want a decent-sized yard, know your whole street, and drive to Lafayette for a date-night kind of living.
