Now here's her response to her video being shown at the news conference.
Here's her video telling the NOPD she wasnt going to stand down and telling the crowd to keep moving forward...telling the women to get in the back and the men in the front and to keep walking.
NOPD warned them several times before the tear gas was released.

Shawn Leiter Ruiz Sir, no disrespect. How are we supposed to send any kind of message if we don’t push the limits a little? If we keep submitting to the police and just turn around and go home, what kind of message is that sending to the people we represent? Some of who don’t think we are going to be able to change anything because they are already hopeless. We knew we wouldn’t make it far past that line. We knew we would be met with violence. The point was to prove that the kneel NOPD gave us and the press releases they’ve put out saying that they are with us is performative alliance. If they were with us, they would have walked with us to Gretna PD and asked them to stand down just so we could pass over and exit the bridge. We told them entire plan. They chose to stand against us instead. & the whole world will see that. It’s all about the message.

NOPD Chief just gave a really solid presser.
He showed several clips from her own video showing that the NOPD gave her their mics to give the warning. Then showed her organizing the push.
He said how he's upset because he was so proud about how NOLA was protesting so peacefully for almost a week - called them a "shining beacon" - but now he is concerned because they are escalating.
Started with going on interstate on Tuesday, then trying the CCC last night.
He was pressed about the teargas potentially spreading COVID and he kind of condemned the protesters saying they didn't care about that in the first place by having such a large gathering.

I know one guy who was there. He posted about it and astonishingly defended the NOPD. He said the limitations of the protest were known to all and that a few agitators were gunning for a confrontation and the NOPD response was proportionate. Yes, he is white.

She straight up told the NOPD that she wasnt going to tell them too turn around...she actually told them NOT to turn around and to keep pushing forward
She should be arrested
She should be arrested

Ooooooooh, the struggle is so real.

I’m not sure they are protesting

Why do people think they have the right to protest on a major highway and or bridge without repercussion? It doesn’t matter if you are there peacefully or not.
You can’t stage a sit in on an airport runway and they’re just going to wait it out for you to move.
You were protesting on a bridge with hundreds of people packed into a confined space. You can either go forward (police said no you’ve gone far enough and for our safety, and your own this has to end) or you can turn around and walk back down and safely go home and resume protesting tomorrow.
They chose to ignore warming after warning to leave the bridge, and then cry foul when the police use force to get them off. Im stunned at the stupidity of protestors thinking the CCC was a good location to stage their point, and even more stunned no one died from getting shoved over the side

I remember being gassed in boot camp...over and over and over again. Like in a closed room and had to recite my name, rank, and social. Then when we were sleeping one night in the field. Then a few more times just for the fun of it.
It was frustrating but I could not and would not stop. Those feelings were reality. I could not part from them. I LOVE YOU

And I wish Kibbles hadn't blocked me. Would love to get her take on all this

It would be an amazing thing if she could legally try an indica hybrid to help with sleep. It works much much better than Ambien or Lunesta and does not have that nasty taste in the morning. DO IT AMERICA! Legalize marijuana and go home.

How can they not see that they are being radicalized. Only radicals are willing to die for a cause that has nothing to do with them.
