Was this associated with the old "Jump Out Boys" gang stuff?

Entertain Jackson · Tia Clincy
quote:

I went down a rabbit hole yesterday. Derrick Groves (Woo) is one of the men still at large. He was born in 97. In 94, his granny witnessed a cop (Len Davis) assaulting a man he mistook for unaliving another cop. Ms. Groves filed a complaint against Davis who got wind of the report and hired a local drug dealer to unalive Ms. Groves less than 24hrs after filing her complaint. Mr. Davis got the death penalty which was converted to life in prison in 98. In 2018 during Mardi Gras, Derrick shot 4 ppl. Unaliving 2 and critically wounded 2. The deceased are allegedly family members of Mr. Davis. Family members of the deceased have now been in hiding since his escape.

Sometimes the police are just a gang with a state pension.

Unaliving

Had to Google that one myself. It seems like it's a way to get around the censorship bots on social media.
If they type "killed" or "murdered" it sends out the red safe place flags and gets deleted.

i missed this from the original story of the escape
quote:

Burton is accused of communicating with Groves on an iPad days before his escape. Smartcom, the program allowing inmates to use iPads, was introduced to the Orleans Parish Justice Center in February. Online documents released by the Orleans Parish sheriff tout the programs' success, saying the tablets help give inmates free 15-minute phone calls a day and 20-minute video calls a week. This is all in an effort to reduce overall jail violence, improve quality of life, and reduce tension among the inmates.

If he could have changed to either of the 2 bottom one, they pretty convincing, discounting the neck tattoos.

If he was serving a life sentence for second-degree murder, why was he in the New Orleans parish jail and not in a state penitentiary?

People are too soft today if words like "killed or murdered" has them needing a safe place.

Davis became the first on-duty police officer to be sentenced to death for federal civil rights violations. His sentence was commuted to life in prison without possibility of parole by departing President Joe Biden in December 2024

He was on death row, but Biden....
