What? No. I graduated and turned 17, then began college.
I couldn't drive until my senior year of high school.

Is it really? I'm not doubting you, I'm truly curious. That seems insanely low for a four year degree.
I will be making roughly 60k+ with legit benefits and I am considered extremely "blessed" with such an offer out of school.
Outside of people in specialied engineering, I do not know anyone making more money than me out of school without family connections, ivy league schools or adjusting for cost of living
I had an offer for about 85k$/yr but it was in NYC and I don't want to live on foodstamps

Perfect. You are a joke dude. You have no idea what you are talking about if you think the average starting salary for a college grad is over $70k.
Your reading comprehension is the joke.
I said I THOUGHT the average out of college was higher. I apologize for not thoroughly informing myself on a topic you seem to be well versed in.
Next time I need something pointed out to me, your my guy.

No matter where you live or how much you earn, always save 10 percent of each check, minimum. Open an account at a bank that is inconvenient and don't get a debit card. Set your direct deposit to send the first 10% to that account. Live off the rest.

If you are a confident guy, rent a ghetto apartment. My brother does this, and he lives like a millionaire. His car is paid off and he spends so little on rent, that he literally can't spend all of his money. He is the most compulsive spender I know, and he puts away tons a month into savings.

New med residents get paid about that and they have loans to pay. The ones Scruffy knows live pretty comfortably.

Meh. I want a nice, clean place to live. I will most likely have to get a new truck once I finish grad school. BUT hopefully I can get a few years out of it.

Just reading the thread title alone befuddled me.
I clicked in this thread to read responses and it only got worse.

If you're making 55k a year and you're single, you can live in a nice place and have a solid vehicle with all of your bills and still plenty of money left to save or blow on booze and drugs
