At 22 I was a GTA making 750.00 a month. Now I am married with 3 kids with the wife and I bringing home 120k combined.

I had more disposable income when I was 22.

Inches. I told your wife not to mention it to you. I didn't want you getting "short" with her.

20/month on dry cleaning is like 2 shirts a week that are pressed.

None of this makes any sense. I'm out.

You mean if he has no social life, an 8 year old car, and a crappy apartment?

In that case sure. I guess that's comfortable to some people.

Lol at anyone thinking $55K right out of college isn't enough to live on. Assuming he doesn't go buy a new car and has a decently priced apartment, let's call it $800/month, the dude is looking at almost $2K to live on a month.

Let's takeout some monies for gas, cell phone, utilities and call it $1500/month. That's almost $400 he has to spend a week on food, hookers, blow, and booze.

Dude will be able to do whatever he wants in reason at that salary.

You could be a pipe fitter or operator and make more money without incurring student loans.

Wow, that's kind of depressing. I'm happy for everyone with degrees that do well, but that still seems low.

I held a 3.95 GPA and that's including each year, before and after I transferred schools. Even the classes I didn't do well in that were non transferable are being factored into that GPA.

So thats like 1 or maybe 2 B's in a 3 year college load.

I was just shocked that the starting average for a four year degree is anything less than 75k.

When did this shock come?

You didnt know what college degrees usually get you when you finish?

How did you have a 4.0 in college?

Skip the hookers and blow. With the amount of drinks you can buy with all that extra disposable income, you'll be pulling tail anyway.

Get the HSA and do the 401k. You'll thank yourself later.

Is it really? I'm not doubting you, I'm truly curious. That seems insanely low for a four year degree. I thought it would have been closer to a 75-80k a year average.

Are you fricking serious?

55k is ballin with no kids and no wife living in baton rouge. I started out at 67k and I thought I was rich. Now I make a lot more but have a kid and wife and I feel poor. Lol. It's amazing how much bills pile up as you get older.

I took it that he left school in 08, could be either I guess.

A riveting tale, nonetheless.
