Fly on a Rocket. There is a landing pad at War Memorial.

I have been going up TO LR every Thanksgiving from BR. I lived in Ascension for 6 years and we always went through Natchez on US 65 N.

You go through Translyvania, Ferriday, Lake Providence, Lake Village, etc.

I love the route and it's a good one. It's probably nostalgia from my Dad going that way since we were kids. Half my family lives in LR.

Negative. The highways are faster than the interstates.

Us-425S

Us-61S

Fastest by far.

Despite Rando being a sociopath to women he was younger, this is accurate. BR area Football fans who have driven on to Fayetteville can vouch for that route.

I prefer to take 65N through Lake Providence rather than taking 425N.

It just seems that there are not as many towns lowering the speed limit from 55 to 35.

Distance is a little bit longer but you make it up with higher speeds and an easier drive

According to my friend that lives in Port Allen, this is the way they come up to Conway (thirty miles north of L.R.), Ark. Their son played college ball here for 5 years and they tried every route there was. Said your way was the best overall.

Regardless of overall mileage, what's the fastest way? Is I-40 to Memphis then 55 south the fastest way?

Hell no. I'd go through Pine Bluff on I-530, on through Bastrop, and down 61.

When I moved I used I55 and that has been the fastest so far for me. If you find a faster way let me know though. I didnt go to Memphis though. I crossed back into LA when I hit Vicksburg

This is probably why my dad chose it, being a Little Rock native.

I gross you out one time and get a thread deleted amd you turn against me.

IT AIN'T RIGHT!

But yeah, much much faster than the interstate, and unlike I49, you won't contemplate hitting a tree due to boredom.

US 167 to Alexandria. I-49 to Opelousas. US 190 to Lobdell. I-10 into B. R.

Easy drive until you hit BR, where you'll spend at least an hour making the last 15 miles to your house.

Things to do in Ferriday:
1. Drive slow
2. Stop at the BJs & Donuts stand
