it's the fourth attack at the same park in the last few months

One dude got attacked by a cheetah when he decided to take a shortcut through the park on his bicycle. Yeah that's right bicycle.

The tourist, who was not identified, and her tour guide were violating park policy and safety signs and warnings when they drove up to a pride of lions with both the driver's and passenger's windows open, according to a park statement emailed to the Los Angeles Times.

The lady was totally ignorant but it sounds like one of their employees allowed it. Which makes me think it happens a lot more. What do you do when an employee breaks vital rules that causes death? Maybe the employees letting the windows be rolled down needs to stop?

One article detailed additional tourist attacks at the park, many that involved people lowering car windows for a closer look at the big cats.

Also, I think the lioness and or other lions that attacked; should be kept out of the tour. They got the taste for humans, they probably won't stop.

why the hell would the cars they take people out in not have child locks for the doors and windows to prevents this sort of thing?

if the driver actually wanted her to keep her window up why was he not able to make that happen?

do the vehicles they take out not have power windows?

pure imbecile dumbassery.

Was this American lady that died from an attack's; tour guide, an employee of the park? It sounds like as long as people pay: they let anyone go in even on a bike. It should be in their tour buses only; as shown in the pic above.

Maybe someone should have explained the difference to her between real live dangerous cats and computer special effects.

It's tragic what happened but maybe pay attention to signs that say "DO NOT OPEN YOUR WINDOWS" "KEEP DOORS LOCKED" when driving in an area with lions roaming freely around. Lil common sense would have gone a lonnnnng way here.

I've been on a couple of wildlife drives through a game park in Tanzania. Land Rover with no top, no windows. Low doors. I had a butt pucker when a lioness started walking toward us.

I went on a safari in Kenya through a preserve. We were driven around in some topless vehicle as well. But didn't go where the lions are and it was mid day when they are not usually out.

Have you seen all the idiots taking selfies with a bear in the background? SOON

This man has been on an actual for real Safari. He knows what he's talking about. Thank you for that thoughtful and informative post. I know I, as well as others, will be aware that lions are dangerous from this point forward. Thank you for saving our lives
